What I'm into ~ a PARTY!
I'll start by saying obviously I'm into parties. Last week it was a get your face on party, this week it was a DIY day party and now this. Ok, so this girl likes a good party.
Today it is a "What I'm into" party.
So a few weeks ago I posted a few of my favorite things ~ check it out here.
I'm still loving those things, but am adding these:

Completely into changing up and finding new accessories like these:
I'm also into these things that look and smell of spring:

I am into this book and read many nights in bed with my new book light (you know instead of a flashlight).

althought I like to grind my own beans, these were on clearance (and yes I purchased 3):
Completely into American Idol. Thanks to a blog friend, I am playing in a Fantasy Idol league. Currently I'm liking her (along with a few others, but I'll spare you clips of all of them 'cause I'm nice like that):

Birthday Books
If you came by yesterday, you saw bits and pieces of Sassy's and Action's birthday parties. One thing I didn't mention was their birthday books.
I started them when Sassy turned 5. I'm not sure if I saw them somewhere or if I cleverly thought of it myself, but it is basically a book that Sassy or Action signs (they each have their own) and hand prints in each year. It also contains that year's b-day invite and signatures, drawings, or notes from their friends and family that come to their parties.
They love decorating that year's page with their hand print, comparing hand sizes and reading back to what their friends wrote or drew in the past years.
See for yourself:
Basic spiral scrapbook (Sassy's was from a local scrapbook store, but they stopped carrying them so Actions is just a sketch notebook)

a title page:
Stamp their hands, have them sign (I photoshopped their signitures out) and let them decorate:
Sassy's 5th b-day
And a few pages from her 6th and 8th birthdays
and a few signatures from Action's:
Great memories of fun times with family and friends.

I cheated.
But I think it worked out well!
Let me explain.
Action's birthday is at the end of January.
Sassy's birthday is at the end of March.
So, I suggested they have a joint birthday party in February at a local inflatable center where they host birthday parties and have gigantic inflatable slides, bounce houses and obstacle courses. At this center you can invite 25 guests besides the birthday child. In my mind perfect. Sassy could invite 12 friends. Action could invite 12 friends. I would only have to worry about 1 party. They thought it was a great idea and agreed.
Last weekend we had the party. It started at 9:30 am and lasted until 11:45.
We had a great time! See for yourself.

Introducing the guests of honor ~ and yeah, nice outfit Action. The boots really go well with the basketball shorts. I'm sure they really help with your vertical :) At least the colors match.
Action ~ enjoying the safety video. Really he is a safety first kind of kid ~ or maybe not.
At least Smiley enjoyed the video!
Time for fun! (and bad, bad lighting)
Cake time. I mean DONUTS! (remember... it was early!)
Make a wish!
And of course a few presents.

Friday Funny ~ sort of ....
Ok, so I've been a bit busy the last few days.
Company coming.
Extra little one's running around this morning to help out a friend.
A double birthday party to get ready for.
So honestly, I don't really have a funny for you today! BUMMER.
However, here is a video of Miss Smiley herself bustin' a move ~ and you can see Action loves to be in front of the camera.
