Friday Funny Football edition

Are you football fans?  

We are at our house, unfortunately our favorite team, the Steelers, are done for the season.

This edition of Friday Funny is football based, however it has nothing to do with deflategate ~ although, I could come up with many funny jabs on that subject (as have so many others!) but I will refrain.

This may be silly, but I have always been a fan of the Bad Lip Reading videos. I've previously posted a couple of them on my blog (here and here).  This week the newest NFL version came out.  Maybe you've seen it already.  It's been popping up on my Facebook news feed consistently for the last two days.  However, if you haven't and you need a laugh or if you have and you want to laugh again, I bring you the 2015 NFL Bad Lip Reading Video:

On my phone

I don't use the camera on my phone very often, but the other day I shot a short video of Sassy pitching in one her games.  When I went through my camera roll the following day, I found some fun videos and pictures that will give you a small snapshot of what our summer has looked like so far:

They snuck off with my phone and took some selfies

And we've been attending lots of softball and baseball games for the kiddos.  It is so fun to watch both Sassy and Action play.  Here is a snippet of Sassy pitching:

Oh and lets not forget this beauty ~ Smiley taking a singing selfie during one of Sassy's softball tournaments.  I had no idea she had created this masterpiece until I found it on my phone!  Enjoy her little Frozen medley.....

Friday Funny ~ Frozen Edition

Have you seen the movie Frozen?  We saw it back in December and the kids have been singing songs from the movie ever since (which from the looks of youtube and Facebook, so have everyone else's kids).

Smiley loves and sings all of the songs from Frozen, but typically can be heard singing "Let it Go"



Let me note, Smiley sings all.day.long!  Seriously, as I am typing she is sitting next to me singing "You and me baby we're stuck like glue."  She makes up songs, she'll sing a piece of one song and combine it with a verse of another.  There is noise constantly coming out of this girls mouth (when she's not eating something ~ the girl could snack morning, noon and night).  Here is a little video of her coloring and unconsciously singing "Let it Go" :



I have to admit,  I loved this movie and the music is great.  However,  after you hear it day in and day out, it begins to wear on you a bit and I admit, I have told her, "Okay, all done singing!"  When I heard this version on YouTube, I laughed and absolutely related:

Friday Funny - Football Edition

Are you all ready for the Superbowl taking place this Sunday?

We have a weekend  of fun scheduled and will hopefully be home in time to relax in front of the TV to watch the commercials.... I mean the game :)

While I'm not a super fan of either the Seahawks or the Broncos, I will be cheering for the Orange and Blue to win.  Go Broncos.  Will you be watching the game or maybe the commercials and halftime show?  Who are you rooting for?

Anyway, personally, I find these "bad lip reading" videos hilarious and hopefully this one makes you smile at the very least.

Friday Funny ~ 9 year old humor

Why are we so critical?

Why?

For me, this really hit home.  I'll be honest, I stood in the mirror just this very morning, checking out my  tummy, that I wish was flatter, my nose smaller, my arms more defined, my hair fuller..... Why do I do this?

I do believe that women, myself absolutely included, are so very critical of ourselves.  We compare ourselves to the "beautiful women" we see on TV and in print. Our hair is not quite the color or texture we would like it to be.  Our skin color, too light or too dark.  Our noses, too big, wide, pointy, simply not shaped the way we would like, or see as beautiful.

I could go on and on about the rest of our bodies, from our feet to the nails on our hands to the tips of our ears and I'm certain I most of us could tell you about the trait(s) we wish were different or think are ugly.

But these things that bug us about ourselves ~ are just that.  Things we see.

When was the last time you looked in the mirror and didn't think one negative thing about your physical body?  When was the last time you looked in the mirror and thanked God for your individual beauty ~ the beauty that makes you ~ you?

As women, I think we feel the demands and desires of the world, to be the thinnest, to be the prettiest, to be the best.  What if we all just embraced ourselves fully and conquered each day confident.  Confident in our abilities and especially in our skin.

We need to remember, as this video shows, we are ALL unique, we are ALL beautiful, we just need to change our attitudes.  Next time you look in the mirror,  remember who you are and that there is no one else in the world who is you ~ so Rock It!

Oh, and as my 12 year old daughter reminded me just last night, 

 "You're never fully dressed without a smile!"

First of all Smiley ~ the girl can NOT sit still when music is involved.  She loves a good beat and her current favorite songs are Dynamite by  Taio Cruz and G6 by Far East Movement and Just a Dream by Nelly.  You can see for yourself in this horrible quality video :)  By the way the song she is jammin' to is California Gurls by Katy Perry.

He tried the wooden one and it gave him a sliver.

That  night, in the middle of the night he had to go to the bathroom.

When he sat on his new singing toilet it started singing, 

"DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?"
