Next week at this time:

Their favorite breakfast will have been consumed.

Hair will have been done just right.

The "perfect" outfit will be on.

Their tummies might be a bit nervous.

They will be meeting new friends and welcoming back the old.

They will learn a new schedule.

Sit in a different room at a different desk with a new teacher.

1 more week of summer.

I will be savoring  EVERY MOMENT (even these)!

Zucchini Bread

When my wonderful Mother in Law gave me some zucchini I knew right away one of the things I would be making would be zucchini bread.

YUMMY!

You need:

3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 ¼ cups white sugar
3 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups grated zucchini
1 cup chopped walnuts

All you have to do is:

1.  Preheat your oven to 325° then grease and flour two 8x4" pans.  (or just use nonstick cooking spray like
     I do☺)
2.  In a large bowl sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon.
3.  Beat eggs, oil, vanilla and sugar together in a large bowl.
4.  Add sifted ingredients to the creamed mixture and beat well.
5.  Stir in the zucchini and nuts until well combined.  Then pour into prepared pans.
6.  Bake for 40-60 minutes ~ or until tester inserted i center comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 20 mins, then remove from pan and cool completely.

THIS IS DELICIOUS WARM!!

ENJOY!!!

Since it's my Birthday

I have a few things I would like you to do today:

1.  Tell someone you love them.
2.  perform a random act of kindness.
3.  Relax ~ if only for a moment.
4.  Look for an ordinary miracle.
5.  Do something YOU want to do.

AND..... leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite dessert  is...

Mmmmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Old (AS IN TIME) Friends

It is one of the blessings of old friends
that you can afford to be stupid with them.

Something to think about Sunday

A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future,
and accepts you just the way you are.
