Fancy

With a 5 year old in the house, you learn to expect unexpected statements.

I was driving down the road with the radio on.  Smiley was all buckled in and singing away, very typical behavior for her.  I wasn't really listening to the radio, but I did hear her exclaiming,  "I'm so fancy!"

I checked the XM display and realized it was the song "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea (video here ~ it's the explicit version of the song, but I couldn't find an official video with a clean version).  Yes, I know this song isn't 5 year old appropriate, but I needed a short break from the "Animal Farm" on Kids Place Live..... And since Smiley is really good at hearing and picking up lyrics the station was changed shortly thereafter.

The back of the vehicle got quiet, which is quite uncommon.  About five minutes later Smiley says, "Hey mom, I bet she isn't even fancy.  I bet she just has on a blue skirt with a sparkly shirt......."

Now I can't hear that song without thinking of Smiley and that just makes me smile!

Embrace the Camera

Yesterday was a bit of a crazy day.

8 inches of heavy spring snow

Smiley had a 102° fever and only wanted to snuggle.

Sassy found out she made the fast pitch softball team cut (and squealed with excitement)

Lucky for me at the end of the night it was Sassy who wanted to snuggle (she's growing up so fast and I will take every snuggle second I can with her) and we watched a little American Idol (I have to... I'm in a fantasy Idol league and I'm in 3rd place ~ it's kind of like doing homework).

Anyway here we are chillin' together

OKAAAYYYYY.......

Enough of the camera Already!!!

Hello... Any IDOL dorks out there????

Here is the dealio....

My friend, the one and only Jennifer Juniper from Hope Studios and I have formed our very own American Idol Fantasy league.  Weird, NO!  We are not weird!  We just know how to have a good time :)

See here were are judging the contestants:

Man we're hot (in a creepy weird sort of way)!

Anyway, now all we need are a few good players!

And like her darling hubby, "The big guy" mine is also not allowed to play!

Why?  He makes fun of me for watching,  while he prefers to watch boring stuff like sports or Fox News.  And even when did watch (as in, when he was forced to because I was completely in control of the remote and he wanted to hang out with me), he could not focus on the music because he was too busy going coo coo for

Miss Pia  Toscano

and Miss Julie Zorrilla

Really, he just can't be trusted to judge music!

ANYWAY, I hope you come over to fantasy land with us!

VOTING STARTS TONIGHT, so hurry up and
Send me an e-mail at
ordinarymol@hotmail.com
then, I will get you the link and instructions to sign up!

***Oh, and one more thing... it is completely free to sign up and the grand prize for winning?

Friday Funny

I try to go to the health club most mornings.

The goal is to leave the house when my 2 older kids get on the bus for school.

By 9am I am usually on a treadmill (unless I'm taking a spin class ~ have you done them?  LOVE IT!)  ready to break a good sweat.  Typically, I like to run to my Ipod.  Unfortunately that has been out of commission for awhile so I find the hip hop radio station and hope for no commercials.

Anyway, our health club has a row of large flat screen TVs that line the the front wall and each TV is assigned a FM frequency.
W
hen I can't find a song I like, or am bored with the radio I tune into one of the TVs.

Since I am there in the morning, the Ellen Show is on.

The other day, while running with my headphones on, I decided to watch Ellen.  I don't quite remember what she was doing, or what she was talking about, but I do know that I found it funny ~ so funny in fact, that I could hardly keep a straight face and proceeded to laugh out loud.  I caught myself,  looked around ~ and only noticed 1 person (of many) looking at me ~ oops.  Hmm, same thing happened the next day too ~ so if you are at the health club and see someone laughing out loud at seemingly nothing, no worries, it's probably just me and I'm really not crazy.................. but I suppose that depends on who you ask ☺.

But really, how could you watch this and not laugh ~ or at least smile?

What makes you laugh?

All dressed up.

You may remember this invitation given from Sassy to her Daddy for the Father ~ Daughter dance.

The big night finally came and the attendees had a wonderful night.

And while they were gone,
Action, Smiley and I spun our own tunes and had ourselves a little dance party.

What a WONDERFUL night!

I need your help.

I was working out at the health club this morning.

Running and listening to my Ipod.

and

It hit me.

I could REALLY use some new music.

Can you help a girl out and suggest some new music to keep me motivated?

What do you like to listen to?

Something to Think about Sunday

Once in awhile we all could use a reminder about the choices we've made and the ones we will be making.

Are you living your life to the fullest?

What if today was your last day?

Can't see the video?  Leave a comment or send me an e-mail and let me know!

Thanks for the reminder Nickelback!

And a challenge to you ~ evaluate your life and the choices you make everyday and think WHAT IF?
