Not Me Monday ~ Child Edition....

MckMama from My Charming Kids usually does a "Not Me" Monday post.  Today, I needed to do a "Not My Child" version.

Action DID NOT dress up Zoie, our poor little dog as a Steeler Football Player.....

Last but not least, one of my darling children did NOT eat all of the grapes and leave the empty container in the fridge.  Not sure who you were, but Smiley you are off the hook, since you can't yet open the fridge by yourself........

Not me Monday

Ah, its Monday, and you know what that means don't you?






Time for a few of the things I FOR SURE did not do. Because I am extremely organized and ALWAYS on top of things.....

I did not for example schedule a girls night out for the exact same night as Sassy's only 3rd grade concert. Yep, the one that she has a solo in. Nope, I would never forget about that.

And this morning, when I was squeezing in a quick e-mail check, I absolutely did not look at the clock on the computer, see 7:30 and think to myself hmmm, I have gotten a lot accomplished this morning in 35 mins. I had showered, fed the kids, finished the dishes and started laundry. I certainly didn't think "dang the kids don't have to be at the bus stop for another 50 minutes". And never, never would I then realize that that clock was one of the ones that never "sprung ahead". Of course we didn't miss the bus and I didn't have to drive them to school with 3 minutes to spare. Not me. Like I said, I am ORGANIZED!

Its been awhile since I've Linked up and posted a Not Me Monday, but as I was looking around today I realized..... well, see for yourselves:


It is "Not Me" who completely skipped the month of February.......

It was also "Not Me" who the other day realized that this wall has looked like this since February 19th. Yep, and that would be February of 2009 when we had to get some plumbing fixed. Which was also the day we had 5 extra adults staying with us for the weekend. The weekend we hosted 20 people for brunch and flew to Florida for vacation the next day. Hmmm, maybe this year. In my defense this wall is in our narrow hallway upstairs across from our Master bedroom. It's not like its SUPER noticeable :)

It is NOT ME who had a huge ice dam on my house (thankfully my hubby is super handy and is getting things taken care of)

And finally, it is NOT ME who still has Christmas Decorations up.  Don't judge, it's outside and it's been really, really cold here. And it is a 2 story arch.  But this week it is suppose to warm up so maybe, just maybe .... :)

Thats it for now ~ because It IS ME who is babysitting my neighbors adorable baby boy today and it IS ME whose lovely daughter just unloaded the napkin drawer.

Not Me Monday

Well, I thought I would attempt another NOT Me Monday post (Mckmama's idea). Like this one before, this is a post of all the things I definitely DID NOT do or have happen. Once again, I would love for you to play along with me and let me know the things that you HAVE NOT done or have not had happen to you lately. Click on the comment button at the end of the post and leave your "not me's".

Let's begin....

Last week while we were unloading the car for a day at the pool, Action did not shout "Mommy you hit that car!" in the very full, very busy parking lot. I did not get completely embarrassed and raise my voice at him as people looked on. I did not say "Action, what are you talking about, I did not hit a car!" His reply certainly was not, "yes you did." I did not then at that moment give him my mad face. He did not look at me and state, "well I was just kidding." At least not loud enough for the whole parking lot to hear.

I did not allow Smiley to tear up and proceed to eat a phone book the other day while I was writing a blog post. Nope not me.

And yesterday while: Action was sick with a high fever, Sassy played with a friend, Smiley took a nap, my Hubby watched Tiger lose the PGA, I did not hover over my sewing machine and make pacifier clips, key chains, and a tutu for Smiley (details on these projects to come). Because that would mean, my house is a mess, the kitchen is dirty and supper was not well thought out. It was NOT ME!

And lastly, It is most definitely NOT Me who is turning a year older today. Nope not me, I do not age.

On that note, I am signing off to play and relax today!

Not Me Monday

I'll admit it. I'm a newbie.

This will be the first time I participated in "Not me Monday", although it is a weekly post by MckMama at My Charming kids.

I can tell you right now this won't be a weekly post here. Mainly because I am perfect and have very few "not me" moments. Either that or I have too many and tend to try to permanently block them from my memory.

Yeah, I agree, lets go with the second theory.

Well here are my Not Me's from last week:

First of all, I have not all week had clean folded laundry on the couch in the living room. It is always put away, right away, because that is my most favorite thing to do.

I definitely did not rejoice in the fact that Smiley was sick and tired of being in the health club day care last Wednesday. So tired of being there in fact, that one of the wonderful women there had to come and pull me out of the last 15 minutes of spin class. I mean really I had already burned over 600 calories.

And that evening, when the team snacks came out after Sassy's softball game. It was Not me who really wanted to swipe the Zebra cake right out of her hand so I could eat it myself ~ not something I typically purchase nor typically want.

Last night as I was using my borrowed, very old (might just be an antique), sewing machine to make a baby gift I did not get angry at that "dumb old machine" because it was not working. Because it most certainly was NOT user error!

And finally, I did not ~ nor would I ever ~ let Smiley eat grass in the front yard so I could relax a little bit, keep her busy and snap a couple pictures.




Hurry get it in there!
