I was out for a walk the other day with the kids and we came across some branches laying on the sidewalk.
I thought I would be helpful and pick a couple of them up and bring them home. I did have an idea as to what I wanted to do with at least one of them.
Upon arriving at home, I was greeted by my darling husband with a skeptical eye. But, I was not to be discouraged.
I stuck them in the garage and forgot about them for a week. Umm, well not really, since I saw them sitting there right in front of me every time I drove in and out of the garage. Anyway, I finally figured out what to do.
I grabbed a vase I had sitting around.
Some artificial leaves ~ I believe this use to be a garland ~ part of our wedding decorations (10 years ago), but I haven't used them since (at least I don't think I have...)
After some trimming
and some sliding on,
This is what I ended up with:
EASY and INEXPENSIVE ~ especially now, since just about all fall merchandise is on clearance! What do you think?
And don't forget to go here to be inspired:

I love when we use things that we have ,especially nature, to decorate our homes!! Great job!
Plus, no dried leaves crumbling all over your house!
Great idea...It looks really nice!
I do love the leaves, and Holly's right, the dried leaves make a mess if you bump into them!
When are you coming over to help me with my decor. I love the big projects but the finishing touches is where I fall flat. Awesome idea!
Looks great!
