15 months... at 16 months

Smiley went in for her 15 month appointment last Wednesday. And yes, like always, we were a month behind and she was 16 months when we went in ☺.

And now, for all of you finding it hard to sleep at night because you don't know her "stats" your wait is over.

Smiley:
Height: 32 1/2 " ~ placing her at 90%
Weight: 21 lbs 8oz ~ 25%
and
her head: 48 cm ~ throwing her into the 90th percentile.

She is:
Happy
Smiley
Busy
Stubborn
Loud
Loving♥


She likes:
Dancing
Singing
Playing outside
Reading books
Playing with her babies
Eating cookies

She:

Can say many words ~ MaMa, Dada, ball, baby, book, bus, no no, Zo Zo (for Zoie our dog) go, one, two, three, bye bye, more, snack and many more.

Sits down on the floor and quietly smiles at us when we say family prayers.

Did her first summersault last night then proceeded to do 3 more.

She loves sneaking in to the cabinets or Action's room and helping herself to whatever she can find.

Loves listening to her sister sing her favorite song ~Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus.

12 months

12 months and growing...

Yesterday, Smiley had her 12 month well-check visit.  It was confirmed.  She is growing up and there is nothing I can do about it.

Lets begin with the stats:

Smiley:
Height: 31 3/4" ~~ >97%
Weight: 20 lbs 3 oz ~~ 25-50%
Head: 46.5 cm ~~ 75-90%

And just for fun, because I like to see how similarly they are growing, here are stats for Sassy and Action at 12 months: 

Sassy:
Height: 30 " ~~ 75-90%
Weight: 19 lbs 8 oz ~~ 10-25%
Head: 46 cm ~~75-90%

Action:
Height: 30 1/4" ~~ 50-75%
Weight: 18 lbs 5 oz ~~  <5%
Head:  46cm ~~ 25-50%


Smiley at 12 months:

And:

Sassy, with hair a bit longer than Smiley's and  much much darker.  She had the brightest, biggest blue eyes I had ever seen on a little girl.

And

Action.  Once again huge blue eyes, long eye lashes, a gorgeous smile and dimples so big you can't help but smile yourself.

9 months and counting....

Smiley had her 9 month well baby check yesterday. (Yes, I know, she will be 10 months in a couple of days.)


She is a very healthy, happy, tall and lean little girl.


Check out her stats:
Height: 30 1/4" ~ 95%
Weight: 17 lbs 8oz ~ 10%
Head: 45.5 cm ~ 75%


And now, just to compare:

Sassy at 10 months:
Height: 28 1/2"
Weight: 16 lbs 12 oz
Head: 45 cm


Action at 9 months:
Height: 29" ~ 75%
Weight: 16 lbs 11 oz ~ 5%
Head: 43.5 cm ~ 10%

They are consistantly long and lean!

Back to Smiley.
She is crawling although usually it's army style. I would think it would be easier to crawl around on all 4's, but she does it her way. She is sleeping through the night ~ ok, has been since she was 5 weeks old basically but I am still appreciating it (Action still gets up most nights to use the bathroom or get a drink) She loves to eat and will eat about anything I give her. She is becoming more independent and like to eat finger foods. However, she isn't real keen on getting her fingers too messy. For example, yesterday for lunch ~ pasta with a tomato sauce and chicken puree ~ not loving the fact that I expected her to feed herself. She kept looking at her hands and was very happy when I took over with a fork! She has pulled herself to standing but doesn't quite know what to do after that. She is becoming quite a noise maker. Words I can make out are "dada", hi ~ more like "ha", and mama ~ "nana". She likes to play pat-a-cake and think she's hot stuff when she pulls a blanket over her head and plays peek-a-boo.

She has 1 bottom tooth all the way through and one beginning its way with many more on the verge.

And this baby loves to dance ~ most times she bops up and down, but last night she was shakin' it!

Anyway, Smiley is an amazing gift from God and she brings me joy everyday!

She is growing and changing so quickly that I need to remember to slow down and enjoy every moment!

Just to compare

Smiley had her 6 month well check last week (I know, I know, she is almost 7 months old...). And aside from finding an ear infection, she is thriving and doing all of the things a healthy 6 month old should be doing. WE ARE BLESSED!
