What do you do with your cards?

Most of us get quite a few cards.

Birthday cards
Thank you cards
and this time of year, lots of Christmas cards.

What do you do with your cards?

Here's what I do:

I take my card
(ok, not this one exactly, because I just got it in the mail and I wait until after the holiday to take them apart)

Grab my big circle punch and punch away

Making sure there is no writing on the back of my new circles.

Voila

Punch a small hole in them using a regular hole punch

Add some ribbon or string and use them as gift tags for presents.

Loooove this!!! And I have the ginormous hole punch already!! When the kids were little I saved my christmas cards and made christmas placemats as gifts for my parents....I cut posterboard in the size and shape I wanted and let the kids cut out all the cards and glue them on the posterboard...they embellished them a bit with markers and glitter glue, then on the back we traced their hands and wrote a Christmas message....I took them up to Kinko's and had them laminated....voila!

That is such a simple and genius idea - thank you for sharing! I love reusing things and cards are so pretty - it's a shame to just recycle them. thank you.
