Teething cookies

Smiley seems to be eating more and more lately. Now that she is 6 1/2 months old I thought she would enjoy these cookies. I found this recipe a few years back and they are a breeze to make!

Teething cookies

1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons applesauce

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 300
2. Place all ingredients in a medium bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until dough begins to
hold together.
3. Dust counter with flour, then transfer contents of bowl to counter. Knead lightly until the
dough is smooth (about 3 minutes). If the dough is difficult to handle, dust with a little more
flour.
4. Roll out with a rolling pin until 1/3 inch thick.
5. Cut out biscuits using a round biscuit cutter or inverted cup. Then cut out the center (I
usually use the cap of a water bottle).
6. Transfer the "cookies" to a greased cookie sheet.
7. Bake until barely browned, about 35 minutes.
8. Cool completely on cookie sheet.
9. Give to your little one to enjoy ~ Under supervision of course!

*They will harden a bit more if you leave them out overnight.

*Store for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

I think they're a hit!

What a CUTIE! I just adore babies at that age.

Making your own cookies is such a great idea... you know exactly what is in them. Really good for kids with allergies or health issues.

Talk to you soon ;)
