Friday Funny - Football Edition

Are you all ready for the Superbowl taking place this Sunday?

We have a weekend  of fun scheduled and will hopefully be home in time to relax in front of the TV to watch the commercials.... I mean the game :)

While I'm not a super fan of either the Seahawks or the Broncos, I will be cheering for the Orange and Blue to win.  Go Broncos.  Will you be watching the game or maybe the commercials and halftime show?  Who are you rooting for?

Anyway, personally, I find these "bad lip reading" videos hilarious and hopefully this one makes you smile at the very least.

Enjoy and Happy Friday Friends!

Friday Funny

Hello Friday!  Couple of things ~
First off, the kids have the day off from school today so we all decided to sleep in.  When I woke up at 8:00 this was what our indoor/outdoor thermometer read:

YIKES!!!  Great day to stay inside!  Except that Smiley has to go to gymnastics in an hour and birthday presents need to be purchased for parties this weekend.......

Anyway, this video was floating around Facebook and I found it fitting for this friday's smile, since this Sunday is Superbowl Sunday.  I laughed watching it and my kids watched it over and over, so I hope it brings a smile to your face on this lovely Friday!

So, what is the weather like where you live?

Are you going to watch the Superbowl ~ who do you want to win?  (I'm going with the 49er's!)

Do you watch it for the game or the commercials?

Cupcake Toppers

If you ask me, cupcakes are one of the best universal desserts.  There are so many different varieties of cake and frosting the the combinations are endless.  Not to mention, the numerous ways to decorate them.

Personally, I like to make cupcake toppers.  They are super easy to make and can be made to fit any celebration theme.

Here's how I make them:

First, find a image or picture you want to use for your theme, size it and print it off of your computer.  I like to print my images on white card stock.

Cut your image out in the shape you desire (sometimes I use different shaped, large paper punches for this).

Then, I like to glue the image onto an additional piece of complimentary card stock.

Glue onto one of these

or something similar, like a bamboo skewer.

Let dry then, get your cupcakes dressed.

Check these out:

And while some don't make it perfectly (maybe we should call this a "turn over") through the night,  we still love 'em! ;)

A break from regular programing

Typically on Sunday's (when I have my act together anyway) I post a "something to think about Sunday" However, as many of you realize, today is special.  Today is SUPERBOWL SUNDAY, and not just any old Superbowl Sunday.  STEELERS Superbowl Sunday :)

Now, lets just be clear, we don't live in Pittsburgh, or anywhere near Pennsylvania to be precise.  Actually we live much closer to Packer territory, but too bad, GREEN IS NOT my color!  So here at the house of Ordinary Miracles, we must create our own Steeler Country :)

Welcome, and Gooooo STEELERS!

And lets not forget to ROCK!

Like the song? It was written by one of my bloggy friend's husbands!  Click here to download and donate to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

It's official

I'm giving myself a SNOWDAY!

(I know, we are only expected to get 5-9" ~ nothing compared to MANY of you out there in blog land, but it's a nice excuse to skip the Health Club today)

Meaning....

The kids just left for school.

The coffee is brewing.

and now it's time to:

clean up after our Superbowl get together from yesterday (thinking I should have soaked these babies last night, but was too tired).

and

since it's monday.....

LAUNDRY!

With a little help from this one ~ I'm sure:

Oh, and one more thing:  since I'm not going to the health club today would it be wrong to eat this for breakfast with my coffee?

a chocolate mint cupcake with swiss meringue buttercream from Marzipan's blog ~ made these yesterday and have one word for them ~YUM

What are you doing today?
